in the theatre, i slept through the movie, woke up just in time for the interval, for your sloppy kisses, an abundance of our sweetening love, for the things that we sneaked in: mango yoghurt, peri peri jhal muri and nimbu jeera soda, for the first time our phones rang at the same time, for this party (movie date?), for me to say quesadilla, for you to tease my pronounciation of it, for running along the aisles in the empty theatre, for sleeping, again, just in time for the second half of the film, for you, my Universe, who somehow fit into this one valiant and gorgeous person, who let me sip water from his bottle. it’s time for fall, soon it will be xmas, and i will wake up for hot chocolate and you (of course) and maybe we could sneak in a huge zinger burger next time?
