Artist's Statement
This selection of photography works titled "transient" focuses on the fleeting moments in our lives and the impermanence of such. The notion of ephemerality is expressed through the billowy cloud formations in the light of the setting sun - though stunning and evocative, it is short-lived and lasts only awhile. It is a portrayal of the significance of "living in the moment," focusing on the things that matter while they last.

Grace Zhou is a visual artist and photographer from Vancouver, Canada whose work focuses on encapsulating singular moments in time. Her work is featured or forthcoming in TeenInk Magazine, Gaia Literary Journal, among others. She is also the founder of Curio Cabinet Magazine, a literary and visual arts magazine dedicated to the wonders and oddities of our lives.
